History of Ganda (Luganda)
Luganda is the language of the Baganda people and the Buganda Kingdom, one of Africa's oldest monarchies. British colonizers used Luganda for administration and education. The kingdom was abolished in 1967 but restored in 1993. Today Luganda is the most common language in Kampala and central Uganda.
