Is Udmurt Hard to Learn?

Hard

Udmurt has around 15 grammatical cases and an agglutinative structure typical of Uralic languages, built up by stacking suffixes rather than using prepositions. Like its distant relatives Finnish and Estonian, it forms negation with a negative verb rather than a single word for 'no.' Five extra Cyrillic letters represent sounds absent from Russian, and heavy borrowing from Tatar in the southern dialects adds further variation for learners.
